Best Time of Year

Visas and Entry Requirements
Kenya now requires an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) instead of the old e-visa, applied for online before you fly, currently around $34 per person. Tanzania, which governs Zanzibar’s entry rules, requires a separate visa, roughly $50 for most nationalities and $100 for US citizens, available online in advance or on arrival at Zanzibar’s Abeid Amani Karume International Airport.
