Every safari company sells bush and beach. This is ours, and we are convinced it is the best version in Kenya: two nights among the lions of the Masai Mara, then two in Lamu, a seven-hundred-year-old island town where donkeys outnumber cars and dhows still work the channel under sail.

Everything moves by light aircraft, so no day is lost to the road. You trade the resort-strip beach experience for something with real texture: coral-stone houses, grilled seafood eaten barefoot, the call to prayer drifting over the rooftops at dusk, and an empty beach that runs further than you will walk. Soft bags only, fifteen kilos, and we handle every transfer in between.
